You want the flex pipe as close to the fulcrum as possible, which would be right udner the oil pan. Your motor will only be able to torque a few degrees b4 it maxes out that flex pipe, the flex will have to mvoe much much mroe which will decrease the life of the flex and cause binding in extreme cases.
