Lightbulb smoking ls need help!

Got a 88 crx with a 91 ls swap in it. Was smoking really bad (I could leave my street in a cloud of smoke). Took apart my motor today and had a sh*t load of oil built up in the intake mani. And took off my head, The pistons are clean and the walls are shiny. So is it just my valve seals that are bad or do you think my rings could still be bad. Plus i never had oil soaked spark plugs. Any info on this would help me before i spend to much money for stuff I dont need. Thanks

The head should be fine. I would put new rings in it.

Default Rings

If you have a compression tester it is easy. Remove all plugs, do the compression test. Record your results. Then add a capfull of oil into the #1 cylinder. Do the compression on #1. Repeat on all cylinders. If the compression raises significantly, the rings are bad.
