h22 swap questions...
ok, i know all the downsides to the h22 in crx junk already...i would like to know if my theory is correct...if my crx is set up for a b series motor now with the mounts WELDED IN PLACE...that would mean that in theory the mount kit for the h22 into 92-95 civic and 94-01 integras will fit in the crx and will locate the h22 in the right place?....i hope this is correct, but if not will somebody please help with any new info.....and please no "too heavy for crx" crap....ive already been told this before, but im hard headed....so someone just give me only technical advice..thanks....
i have run a few searches but i cold not find what i was looking for...but i did find at one point a thread listed as "h22 in a crx", but really had nothing to do with any swap, much less an h22...was more like, "what do i do with this wire....BOOM!!!!"....all im looking for right now is placement as far as mounts....i think the rear crossmember/steering rack has to be notched in some cases (maybe all, not sure)...all i want to know is if the mount kit for the h22 in a 92-95 civic will bolt up to the crx if the mounts have been moved and welded to accept the b series without a kit...everything else is irrelevant to me at this point....
Place racing has a weld in kit but you are going to be better off making them from scratch. To really set the motor up well the rear cross will need to be notched and it would be a good idea to cut away the firewall to make room and refabricate a new section for more clearance.
Coleon, on this board has an h22a crx. It takes alot of work.
