Default What's the best to way to lower the compression ratio on a B16?

I know you can replace the head gasket with a thicker metal one. I'm trying to get a 9-1 or 8.5-1 ratio if possible. Are their any other ways to do it besides changing the slugs?

Thanks for the help.

cmon, those are pretty weak answers...............go to www.inlinepro.com and check out thier headgaskets. i used one on a turbo type r, and its been running for 2 years on alot of boost and made over 400 at the wheels.

and on stock internals, inline pro has made over 500 on all stock shit on a type r before, they did my bottom end and i trust em'

whats with all the crappy answers on here????????????

so the answer to the stated question is "NO!!! you can NOT lower your compression to 8.5:1 with a head gasket..."

better???

Seriously. He didn't ask for a fucking discertation on how much power the engine can take. He asked a simple question, to which we gave a simple answer.

as a matter of fact a B16 usdm or jdm CAN be lowered to 9:1 using a headgasket and yes i did answer his question and told him where to go to find it instead of a one word "NO" answer.

i still think it was better than.......................hey...............NO, i mean seriously help the dude explore ALL of his options before closing the door in his face

I don't know if you read his original post, but he SAID that he already knew about using a thicker headgasket, AND he SPECIFICALLY said OTHER WAYS, which leads me to believe he already knows what can be done with a headgasket. He didn't ask for links to headgaskets chief, i think you just want to look like billy badass with all the knowledge.
