i have a 98 honda civic ex would a honda si head fit? what would i need to do to it to make it fit? and how far back could i go (year wise)? any help would be great

A D16 Si head would fit not a "B"16

even if it is from an older civic? or possibly a hatchback. my husband said its from a d series motor

You're talking about a Z6 head, from what i understand the Y8 head is better. It would be a waste of time.

Edit: It will also lower your compression.

not sure what it is but its a dohc head non v tec and my car is a sohc vtec my hubby said it will slow my car down

dohc and sohc heads are NOT interchangable.... Tell your husband to do some research... And just as insult to injury, there was never a dohc non-vtec Si....

but there was a dohc d series motor, the 1st gen teg...could that be what shes thinking of....even though its not an Si that may be what she means...although they still are not interchangable

I already thought of that, the ZC head won't bolt up. At least that's what everyone says...
