Default Piston and Rod order..........

How to tell on a set of pistons and rods which is the correct order when installing them?
Is there a type of lettering or a # located somwhere?

Or am I just assed out?!?!?!

You should have labeled each piston to each cylinder & kept each rod bearing set with each rod etc...

A. Get a helms manual.
B. Make sure you work in a clean environment.
C. Don't assume, read the manual then assemble.

If you are still lost, have an experienced engine builder that uses OEM specs re-assable your bottom end.

Good Luck,
John

As long as the piston wrist pins are pressed onto the rods all you should need is a ring compressor & a torque wrench etc..

This is true, but if he mixed up his rods his rod bearing sizing is going to be all jacked up.

also if this is for a different block and you mix up the cyl you can get the # off the big end of thr rod and the letter for that journal off the crank and match up the right bearing color.if you end up with some of the same color then you guess.
