ls swap in hatch need help

Default ls swap in hatch need help

got a 88 hatch with a 91 ls swap and having a problem with the crank pulley clearance its about 1/2 to close to the frame. how would we make the clearance with out hurting the frame?

you where supposed to take a hammer and hit it at that spot a few time to have it indent and then you would have good clearence. Your not hurting your frame.

Thats the alternator clearance issue, not the crank pulley.

the crank pully will only be about 1/2 from the frame but to a motor only going up and down adn not side to side it will not make any diff but if you are not happy with it get a grinder and cut the small part out or even visegrips will work and bend it up but it will not hit.....what mount kit are you useing?

yes i will look at his car 2morrow to see what your talking about but it will sit close,his ls is all nice and tight in there and with those new inserts that shit is not moving he has the same hasport inserts i have sense i did it i no..

ya umm how many miels are on that swap and how did it run when it was pulled? And how much more did he get done?
