Default Putting CRX

sup, sorry this is kinda long just wanted ya to know the whole speal.

i have a 91 crx si when i originally bought the car the man i bought it from told me there was a problem with the fuel whenever the tank got under half full it would act like it would cut out after making a turn etc. and also run crappy.

once i got the car i tested this out and he was right once it got under half tank it would run like shit and somtimes you would hit the gas and get nothing but the car would still idle.

Any how later on i put a new engine in the car a d16z6 after the engine swap i was still haveing the same issues so it brung me to beleive it was the pump or somthing with the tank.

Later i swapped the engine again the car now has a b18b in it and was still experiancing the same problems would also bog at high rpm's .

i have sinse bought a walbro 255lph fuel pump and a completly different gas tank.

i have replaced the fuel filter as well.

the fuel pump comes on when you turn the key over but now the car will only spit and spudder like it is getting barely any gas at all.

so 3 different sets of injectors new filters new pump and new tank and the issue has only gotten worse.

the only thing left i can think of is some kind of trash in the fuel lines.

ne one else have any idea's

thanks

-Jay

disconnect the fuel line from the filter use a larg size METAL bowl/bucket place it in there have someone turn the key to check how the gas is flowing out

isn't there a fuel relay switch that might be going out on it?

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

sounds like some crap fuel lines, or maybe it could be the same problem I had with my old car. I cleaned out the tank, but the problem was the fuel return line, it would pump the shit back into my new gas tank, and it was the remains of the fuel line that was falling apart. It ended up clogging the sock on the end of the Fuel pump and would bog out and ran like shit when it got low on gas. If its not that much of a hassle, check your return fuel line or replace it, because thats where the gas that doesn't get used goes through. Also check that sock on the end of the fuel pump to see if its clogged or doesnt look the same color as it did when you put it in. Good luck -Ben
