I have a h23a engine in my 93 prelude I was wondering if they make this in vtec or not. Also if i got a h22 what would i need to up grade on my car. would i need a new suspension or a different tranmission. what other things might i need

Just get an H22 complete swap from the 92-95 Lude and a vtec jumper harness and you'll be all set....

93 prelude is pre-wired for VTEC. Purchase a complete h22 (from 93-95) Your suspension will be fine, may want to upgrade front brakes. The block/transmission casting on both the H22 and H23 are the same so your mounts/axles will work. You can purchase a long-block for around $1000 and use your current transmission or you can purchase a full swap for around $2000 (which is highly recommended). This is by far one of the easiest swaps! Motor drops right in, use your current harness, shift linkage. Replace ecu with P13 ecu, add VTEC pressure switch and solenoid valve and your set.
