Default f22 prelude/accord question

does the f22 from an accord fit into the prelude that had an f22? would it bolt up, are there alot of changes? (the f22 from the accord is a vtec)

no there are no differences... it will bolt right in. i would not ever suggest doing this though... its a waste of money. if you are going to get any F series motor... go with a JDM f22b. it isnt that expensive at all.. and is basically the equivalent to the USDM prelude h23a Si motor (only on a lot of cases i have heard about the f22b taking the h23a1 in races).

the extra "20 hp" that you would gain from a f22 sohc vtec out of an accord ex would not be worth the hassle of the swap or the money put into it. save up and either get an h22a, h23a1, or an f22b.

just curious, why did you ask this when your info says you have a h22 accord? anyways, if you have anymore questions just let me know.

Default f22 accord/prelude

im sellling my old f22 vtec and someone wants to buy from me. that person has a prelude that had the non-vtec f22 in it. he wanted to know if it will fit and that is why i posted someone like that so i could let the other person know. but yes, i do have an h22 in my accord. this question was for someone else.

ohok... well let him know it will fit...the wiring harness should connect without any problem too. he will need the ecu from the accord for the vtec... but other than that i think everything will bolt up and work just fine.

Everything will bolt up perfectly, and as long as the car and motor/ecu are both obdI, it will plug in fine. BUT, he will need to buy, or fabricate, a jumper harness from the ecu to the vtec solenoid for it to work....
