ZC or D16a1 need help!!!!
What up TR, heres the problem...My boy has a d16a1 ( DOHC 1.6 Non-Vtec) we are dropping it into his Crx, im not sure if the wiring harness will fit...... The Crx is a DX... we have basically everything for the swap just not sure about the harnes.... does anyone know if the stock dx harness will match up to the d16a1? Another problem is that the harnes from the CRX is all cutt out.. so we might need to buy a new one.. any suggestions.... other than Honda Land.. fuckers want $700 for stock harnes! fuck that shit..!! We're broke!!

the stock harness will not work because it is dual point. You will have to wire it up for multipoint and you will need to get a resistor box. Also make sure you have the ecu. Check out ebay for the harness I see them going for cheap all the time.

Its going to be a pain in the ass to run the new harness you may just want to spend the time and fix the one you have now. That way you save money.

What year CRX? I assume you mean 2nd generation because the A1 fits really easily into first gens. It also depends on the year of your D16A1...the whole honda/acura line switched to OBD0 in 88 and they continued making the A1 until 89. I know for a fact there are many small differences from 87 to 88 but most parts are compatible. You need to really research this in addition to the DPFI to MPFI changeover. Try registering on crx.honda-perf.org and ask specific questions only when you can't find answers anywhere else (otherwise they'll tell you to go research it). Good luck.

If you decide against it I will gladly take that D16A1 off your hands. Been tryin to find 1 for about a month now and they are slim pickins in actual running shape!!!
