?Questions for the single cam guys?
I have a 92 hatch with a vx block and a z6 head. And was wondering if a z6 block or a y7 block would be better and if so which one. Because i heard the vx block has low compression pistons.
a z6 head on a z6 block is just the ex motor. a y7 block might give you higher compression, but im not sure....ive never seen it done it personally. the vx does have lower compression pistons then the dx or ex. i would say if the setup your running right now is running well, then keep it like that. if you change the block, it may screw somehting up.
mill the head.

Z6 pistons = more compression than the VX
Y7 pistons = more compression than the Z6
Y8 pistons = more compression than the Y7
This is a great resource.

why not? or get a thinner head gasket.
