USDM or JDM type-r pistons ?
JDM type-r pistons in a b18c1: 11.3:1
USDM type-r pistons in a b18c1: 10.8:1
These specs are with a 3 oem layer headgasket.

Check the specs your self:

what about if you were to do it with a tester.... how do you convert it????

say for example, a compression test on a gsr came back 235 accross the board.... that would be???

u cant really go by that to determine the compression ratio. static compression is going to vary

You determin the compression ratio you should achieve with certain components via knowing the components inside the motor. There are other ways to determin compression but I wont get into that.

I found a nice write up & mirrored it to be able to explain it in "honda terms".

Basically find all your specs & use a calculator & or formulas.
