Default just curious on a swap.. .

I know H22's can go into a crx but who installs them. Ive done only 3swaps on my own. Two Dseries and one b16 in a crx thats it. H22 can be purchased for less then $3 grand now. Who does these swaps though? I would like to attempt it myself but i know i would need help cause i wont know what the hell iam doing when it comes to custom welding or whatever. ANyone have a idea?

KJ would be the person to talk to about it, but there's much more involved than you seem to understand. You have to cut out the firewall for one. . .

All the mounts would need to be custom made along with some sort of custom hybrid axles or custom axles altogether. For me I wouldn't even worry about the weight issue that much but I would worry about the axle angles. Basically if you are not going to do this yourself you are going to pay alot for someone to do it. And if you do do it yourself you need to be a good fabricator or you will waste alot of time.
Here, now try running a search next time. . .

I've heard that the H22 into a crx isn't worth the money it costs to get it, put it in, and time, I heard its because of the angle the motor has to sit in a crx that it looses alot of torque because of that. for 3 grand build an Ls Vtec. -Ben

Ummm, that's very possibly the dumbest thing i've ever heard. I'm not NECESSARILY saying it's untrue, but if it is i'll be pretty bamboozled.
