Bleh, I just take my time now days. Better to do a job slowly and thoroughly then quickly and run the chance of error.

Damn, I work really slow compared to you guys. I usually spend 5 hours just on wiring dpfi to mpfi swaps. These days I try to do bolt in motor swaps in a day and other more custom stuff like h22a's in two or three days if all the parts are there

I did do a V12 750 bmw auto tranny in about 6 hours the other day. Book time was 11 I think. I can replace Honda axles in under 10 mins though.

heh... If you want to talk about the long swaps, the first time I ever did the multi-point swap on my crx... that took a good 3 days, But me and Braxton (Brax90Si) pulled my blown D series, BUILT (By built, we honed a d16, and put in z6 pistons and rods for boost, and put a z6 head on it) a new D series and had it in that same night. -Ben

I once pulled a blown quad four out of a car and placed a ready to go new one in before lunch time....then after lunch i realized the timing was off in the new motor and had to pull it again re-do the timing (and if you have ever worked on a quad four this is no easy feat) when finished with the timing out it ack in and fired it up all before a lovely import romping night on the town. Total time about 7 hours including one part run and a lunch break

Exactly. If I had driven off too quickly the nozzle might not have caught right. As it was, I slowly pulled away ensuring optimum hose pulling tension. A job well done I'd say.
