Question Finally a problem I can't solve...

So I am checking on my leaking oil return line today to make sure it hasnt gotten worse, and I notice another oily puddle under my car, but this one toward the back of the motor... I think to myself hmmmm, I wonder what that is... So, I investigate and my first suspect was the transmission, suspicion confirmed, it's tranny fluid.... It seems to be leaking onto the passenger side cv joint which causes it to spray onto my transmission, firewall, crossmember, sway bar, basically everything in the general area.... I just replaced the seal on the half shaft because I had this problem on the other side and now, this side.. I'm stumped... I fix one side and a couple days later, the other sides messed up.... What the hell could it be??? I checked to see if the cv joint was in all the way, and it seems to be fine... is it possible i just overfilled the new tranny and this is excess???Is there another seal on the passenger side that could be messed up??? Is my CV joint messed up??? WTF man!!!! someone help me...

sounds like you have a bad bearing in your tranny. When you pull the axles look inside the tranny and see if the bearing is ate up. I had that problem once before.

if thats the problem the bearings are $50 a piece. One for each side. Did you get the tranny new or used? You say it's a new tranny

well i bought it used just meant its new to me.... i think the tranny had pretty low miles... i dont blame the seller at all because after driving it for almost a week now, it just started doing this, and like i said there are zero grinds, its clean, and very smooth.... i think its just bad luck/timing....

na, what vent and where??? never heard of or seen a vent on a tranny.... any help is appreciated....

and yes Adam, uh oh is right, despite the fact that my car is fucked up my dumb hard headed ass couldnt resist the temptation to run a 3 way with a Camaro and a Mustang on the interstate, I won but now for some reason theres oil all over the back of my car, and tranny fluid all in the engine bay... Oh well, they started it....
