It has nothing to do with launching... yeah these do help a little out of the hole, but they are more to keep the front end planted by pre-loading the front suspension, thus effectively eliminating wheel hop and shaving precious tenths off your 60's which makes a huge difference in your quarter mile times.... Not to mention they save your axles from being destroyed by wheel hop.....

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period.
