when i turn on my ac the fan doesnt turn on and after a few minutes the engine seems like its choking. someone told me it might be out of freon but that was fine so i checked the pressure and it was like 420 lbs. what the hell could that be?

 

Are you saying you get no cold air? And that your engine bogs when you turn the air on? And where the hell did you "check the pressure"?

 

or maybe the fan motor? could be 'stuck' or burnt out?

 

right next to where you check the freon above the radiator

 

420? sounds like it could be a bad expansion valve.

 

with no a/c condenser fan the high side head pressure will go sky high. the engine will have trouble turning the compresser at those psi and engine speed will drop. try hitting the fan motor and see if it starts to spin. if so the brushes in the motor are bad and it will need to be replaced.if it doesnt spin then see if it is getting power may be a blown fuse or open wire. normal high side psi should be around 150 - 185 depending on outside temp.
