I have a 91 hatch a daily driver with an AUTO tranny. i am not a racer but do enjoy PERFORMANCE when needed.

I tried to get a b18a1 and auto tranny. it would not fit, the tranny was too fat for the engine bay

I had to go with a d15 mini swap out of a CRX and put back the hx auto tranny.

This is a real fun car to drive BUT, I would still like more UuUumphh... Is there anything I can do with either the Tranny or the Engine to get better PERFORMANCE???

Keep in mind that this is daily driver, I would like to keep it stable and very dependable.

I turboed my auto crx but it had a swap so it was better.Pm kj he has done an auto ls or b16 in cars so he'll help u out.

 

A swap wouldn't be bad but in all honesty get another car that's manual with v-tec. You'll save yourself some time, $, and a headache. Good Luck man.

yes the seats are toyo...

Regarding the tranny the low end gears suck azz when the AC is on. THere has to be a solution.

i get NO RESPONSE...you press the gas and you have to wait...

Gut out the a/c system, Save weight and engine power.

 

I say go for it. Automatic cars with turbos are true sleepers on top end.

 

do a auto to manual conv.

 

Will I be able to keep the ac w/ turbo???
