Unhappy engine rpm question

my friend and i just changed the timing belt on my 96 integra ls, everything is top dead center when tightend down, then turned three teeth counter clockwise. i turned the car over and it reves up smooth but at idle it just wants to bog down, is it the idle positioning sensor? or did it skip one tooth? please help

I'd be willing to bet your belt tension is off.
You should have minimal slack between the two cam pulleys and about an inch of deflection between the exhaust cam pulley and the crank. Rotate the motor by hand and check the slack, if it's there you'll easily be able to see it.

Could it be the sensor under the intake manifold went bad? I think its called the idle air sensor.

The IACV (Idler Air Control Valve) may have went. Mine went on my car, and I replaced and fixed the problem.

No, it ran fine, it kinda fluxuates but mainly wants to bog, I first thought it was a vacuum problem but I've checked all the hoses. Where could i get the IACV from?

Check if the cam pulleys are at TDC when the crank pulley is at TDC (white mark lined up with pointer on the plastics)

The cam pulleys should both indicate UP and have arrows that are even with eachother.
