lsvtec question
im going lsvtec in my crx si and im completely building it and doing it right but i need to know a few things like how high of compression can i run and how much can i bore it and still be streetable, the head is going to have full skunk2 valves, valve train, skunk2 stage 2 cams, port and polish, and prolly shave the head down but i need input before i do anything, and it is going to be sent to be tuned directly after its built so if i could get some imput on this i would be very greatful
The maximum compression ratio recommend for daily driving is 11.5:1
The maximum recommended compression ratio for 93 oct pump gas is about 12.5:1
Figure out how much you are going to mill your head then figure out how much that is going to bump your compression up.
From there figure out what pistons you are going to want to achieve the compression ratio you are looking to use.
You honestly should have some one that is an experienced engine builder build the motor. I highly recommend OEM parts.

im having a experienced technician build it and this car is just going to turn into my weekend warrior but im still going to want to drive it around town and the only thing that i want oem is the bare head and block all internals are going to be aftermarket
Advice:
Do not run a 200 shot.
Buy some books at barns & noble & do some reading.
Research google.com
Good luck.

im with mtber... leave the 200 shot for the domestics... there is no point... thats just begging for problems...
don't go with a 200 shot unless the block is sleeved. stock honda sleeves at stock bore will handle ~300whp. so a 200shot at any comp. ratio is no good(unless the block has aftermarket sleeves) 12.5:1 comp ratio is on the high side for the street. aim for 12-12.3:1 comp. you'll make all the power you need in a crx all motor ls/vtec.
my plan now is to get the dart sleeved block put 12.5:1 pistons H beam rods debating on aftermarket crank and the same head set up minus the milling, and the 200 shot or the biggest possible shot i can put on it withought going boom
