Top piece of my TPS is broken off...Will it be ok?

Default Top piece of my TPS is broken off...Will it be ok?

the tps sensor on top of my intake manifold is still there, but there is 2 spots that you plug in, one on the side, and on on top, the top part is broken off...is that ok??..or should i replace it, i bought the car like this

by the way im not sure if its called the TPS...someone just told me but isnt really sure

A tps sensor is located on the throttle body inbetween your firewall and your throttle body. It is not ontop of your intake manifold.

I believe you are talking about your intake air temperature sensor.
If you do not have a check engine light from the broken sensor or a vacume leak, then you should be ok.

i do have a check engine light, and i do hear whistling when i press the gas..is that the problem?

There's no TPS sensor on the top of the intake manifold...
Take a pic or find a pic online and circle what the hell you're talking about. Better yet, if you've a check engine light then pull the code to find out what it is.

yeah i found out its not the TPS...some guy just told me thats probably what it is...but i found out that its the Intake air temp. sensor

So it was the IAT sensor :o
