There is a clip on the axle on the tranny side, Its probably gone bad, I'm not sure if you can replace just the clip. (Its on the axle, and it clips inside of the tranny)

its a snap ring, and from what i have seen they dont come seperately, go back and tell the place you bought it from that your axle didnt come with one and they will give you one from another axle...............

or you have the wrong axle.........this happened to me before from car quest!

if its an old axle check the little bit of splines on the end of the axle(after the clip). if they are worn it will cause the axle to spit itself out. this happened to me. it would spit the axle in between shifts. either that or the clip is missing(if the axle is new) also check your engine mounts. the engine could be moving around so much that the axle pops out.

Just use some pliers and spread the clip out a bit. Had to do this a bunch of times with h22a swaps running 90 teg axles.
