Question I've got $$$ who can do this conversion?

I have a '99 civic dx hatch and want to convert it from a auto to a manual. I've got the cash burning a hole in my pocket if there is a shop that wants/can do this for me. Can anybody point me in the right direction

Also is it possible to maybe do the tranny conversion and swap in a y8 motor for under $2100?

are you saying you will pay 2100.00 to do the swap or are you needing the parts still w/ that price?

I need parts and labor to be within the $2100. I really don't see why that would be a problem. y8's don't usually go for that much money. If it isn't possible to do the conversion and swap for around $2100 then I'll just do the tranny.

If I could find an eg hatch for the money I have I would. But considering that 12 year old hatches are going for 4k I'm just gonna put the money into what I have.

u can get a ls swap for almost that, but then you would need to save a lil more for the labor, thatd be manual and faster than the y8

Well doing an engine swap isn't a deal breaker. I just thought considering that y8's are a dime a dozen they could fit into my budget.

Do not waste your money on a SOHC auto to manual swap unless you get a awsome deal on everything & you have nothing better to do.

I recommend you save your money & purchase a DOHC obd2 manual complete swap for your vehicle. Once you do that purchase all the parts you need & have the motor swap & auto to manual swap done. It makes life easier for you & your mechanic etc.

Do at least an ls motor to make it worth your while. And the actual conversion isn't that much more work than a normal swap into a 5 speed. Don't pay more than $3-400 more than a normal swap.
