either way it was a little under 1000 for everything including shipping both ways and the bore/hone to spec of the piston

Did you go straight through GE or did you use a middleman (a shop or whatnot)

Bensons was the first to sleeve honda blocks years ago. Both the employees of Golden Eagle and RS Machine used to work for Benson's. Dan Benson runs it all alone now. I have not heard any horror stories about Benson's in a long time. Have not heard any about Golden Eagle since they redesigned their sleeve either.

I'd use Bensons or RS myself. AEBS seems to be the best engineered sleeve setup but that shit is pricey $1300+ I believe.
