Default ls/vtec questions

Im starting an ls/vtec setup and I want to know what is the best way for me to get the most out of this bottom end as far as torque and horses. What brands to use for internals? Should the crank be shaved? polished? Resleeved block? Bored out? or just rehoned? It's a B18A1 and I want to put a turbo on it as well with more than 10 lbs. Any sugg. or advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you want all that you need to sleeve it. From there, it all depends on how much you want to spend.

Default block info.

Where can I trust a good sleeve job? Where can I find the full race rods and cp piston? Can anyone tell me the best crank for this setup? Would boring it be any gain?

1- I would sleeve it for the boost
2- Definatley do rods and pistons
3- Have the crank knife edged for the high rpm's
4- run a type r oil pump

I always have the machine shop gauge my bearings and all so that everything is perfect!

Hope that helps

Pm me if you have any other questions

I think sleeving for 10lbs is a little over kill but i guess if you want that extra margin of safety then Rather think of it as alot of tuning.
But he said over 10... start thinking about forged internals. (couldnt hurt)

I like rollerwave pistons. check them out they come pre sanded.

Eagle rods are a good choice (what i use) cheap and im sure can handle what ever your going to throw at them.

Just save your money and do it all at once...

Dont shave the crank, no reason to knife edge it. You could micro polish the crank but really no reason to.
