Ls/Vtec or Ls Turbo?
Yea i know, I've posted before about Sohc turbo or Dohc n/a, but Ive decided to go with the Ls, but now the choice is Ls/vtec, or turbo the Ls... I need somethin reliable to drive and get from a to b. thanks for your input. -Ben

Its kind of up to you man, depends on what you want. Either can be done reliable but Tuning is key.... Dont go cheap and dont cut corners.... youll be crying later because things do and will break under the wrong conditions.
Satisfied with a quick car that is easy to and fun to drive around town then do lsvtec (built right in a crx could be a blast) Personaly i would stay all motor if its going into your crx and is daily driven.....
Cant stress enough to not cut corners though... no matter how many times people say it someone always trys to cut corners then their back online months after they built it complaining it was a piece of shit because it broke. BUILD IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!

ls/vtec, why ?
Every sohc or dohc non vtec turbo setup I have seen has not been impressive or does not run very well because not enuff tuning has been invested to make it run properly.
You may make up to 200 whp on stock internals on an ls but if your goal is drag racing, auto cross etc, I personally feel an ls/vtec that does 190 whp will outrun the 200 whp ls/turbo car just because of boost lag, traction issues etc.
Everyone will tell you something different.
Take into mind that an ls/vtec is not cheap at all.
You will spend a lot of money, trust me it all adds up.

I wasnt saying it is not possible to make more then 200 whp on a stock ls.
The average charts I have seen a STOCK ls make on about 7 psi is 200 whp using a bolt on kit such as the Drag turbo kit etc..
I am sure you can make tons of power on a stock ls motor, but tuning & money is a big factor.
