Question Tranny swap question

I just blew out my tranny last night what would be a strong tranny to swap into a hatch with a b18a1

How did you "blow out" your tranny? Did you burn out the clutch or break the flywheel? Did you lock up a gear or tear up a syncro or two?

i have no idea,but a softball size chunk of the tranny is gone

Jesus christ... Get a GSR/Type-R tranny if you can afford it.
Acura sells R trannys for $1800-2200 depending on dealer & hookup you get etc..

A b16 tranny would work too for about $500-$700 used.

type r tranny is more than i paid for the car,i need something cheap that will hopefully last

Is there a hole in the housing or in the actual tranny case. The reason I ask is cause the housing is removeable and easily replaced.
