Default Susp Questions

have any of you guys tried Drop Zone Shocks? Or theri coil springs?

What are your thoughts on them?

I am looking to drop my Del Sol a little bit, but most importantly I NEED new shocks.

My previous experiences has been neuspeed sorts with KYB AGX Adjustables. That was a good combo, and is probably a bit too much for what I want for the Sol.

Current choices are:
neuspeed/KGB shocks combo : $340
Tockico Blues kit ( shock & springs) : $355
Drop Zone Coils and shocks : $275

Keep in mind this is a budget beater, but I NEED to replace the shocks, and want to drop it a lil while at it.

if it's a daily beater, I'd go the cheapest route possible. I just took off my neuspeed sports/kyb agx's from my integra.....stock suspension rocks.

I've not heard much either way aobut them. I just know my neuspeeds started out at 1.7", and ended up at about 2.5"-2.75"... dunno if me having a sedan had anything to do that with that.....so I'm not a huge fan of Neuspeed anymore. I'd definitely go with the AGX's.....Eibach Pro Kit's or H&R OE sports would be my springs of choice. The H&Rs are hella cheap too.

Remember its a beater type car....on my SRT, I got real coilovers....paid over $1K.

By no means am I going for balls out performance here...the Sol's shocks are blown for sure....I only mentioned the DZ coils because I have a lil bit oversized sidewall on the current tires ( got em dirt cheap) so I am thinking lowering with neuspeeds may cause a lil rubbing.

I plan to keep the sol for maybe another year ( bought it in dec) until I have completed all my work/upgrades on the SRT.

Leslie...strange that your neuspeeds sagged...I had neuspeed sports for about 2.5 years on my civic without a problem. Dropped and settled at specs.

Dropzone offers a lifetime garentee. I have lowered 3 clients cars with there products.

I personally wouldnt use dropzones products on any of my own cars. To each is own.

yeah, dropdone springs = apc. made in the same fasion, same place.

if youre going cheap, get neuapeed sport springs and tokico blues. should lower an inch. see www.jdmmonkey.com/newhatch.jpg - my hatch with neuapeed race, dropped 1.75 front/back on tokico blues.
