I just put 2.25" piping on my 94 integra ls, and put on a RSX-s muffler.... The problem is, when in 2nd gear at high RPMs it has the rice rattle if you know what I mean..Is that b/c the resonater was taken out? any ideas? I want NO rattle..

Yeah if you are running a straight pipe (meaning no resonator) you will get that ricey buzz in your exhaust sound you need a resonator to get rid of it.

 

check to see that nothing is hitting your rear bumper also.....

 

Would the fact that I hollowed the cat have anything to do with it? ttt

 

which part of exhaust is the resonator...is it the chamber right after the middle hanger?

 

normally it's the canister right after the cat, if you hollowed out the cat this should give you a more raspy sound like you're describing

 

yeah it makes it worse too I have no cat...

 

so if i get a new factory cat will it get rid of it?

 

Um yea that has alot to do with it.
