he prolly ment with a non vtec head and yes VTEC pistons just have larger valve reliefs so they dont smack a valve as long as the bore is the same and shiat i dont see why they wouldnt but why would you swap them ? D series is gay !
d-series arent bad if yur going turbo but ou can still get more out of a b-series!!!!!

Will easily be good for 300-400whp in a D16. Try to get 300-400whp in a B swap for that price.
Basically for the price of a swap you could build a D Series with forged internals that will hold up to more power than a STOCK B swap. D Series have always been and still are the cheap way of making horsepower in a Honda. You'll spend twice as much on your B, if you have the money then go for it, it's a good engine, but it IS NOT chaper than making power on a D.
