Turbo it, or, if you have the money get a GSR engine, and turbo THAT.

xat's motor is a longblock (not including tranny).

You can get a 96-98 complete changeover for about $2700 plus shipping. Keep in mind you need axles & shift linkage.

Wanna go cheap??? You wont be quick and reliable........I agree with the others on goin with the B18C swap........Even though the cheapest swap is an LS.......I dont think its really worth short changing a couple hundred dollars. Go with the VTEC and be happy

I agree on the swap, but IF your asking which would be better?

A supercharger= better on takeoff, getting jumps out of holes, or turns.....

A turbocharger= better in longer distances when it has time to spool up, now you can get it modded to spool quickly

all in all, in my opinion, depends on setup/what you want the car to be used for....in my experiences, a super charger will mostly always get a jump out of the hole on a turbo charged car.....
but a turbo will always beat a supercharger in the long haul....

but yeah, id say for your particular car a B18C1, or C5, then decide
