Default Valve Spring Compressor?

I tried the valve spring compressor loaner from Autozone but it doesnt fit behind some of the valves on my b18a. Where can I buy or rent or loan out the proper tool? Please help! Thanks!

you should use a spring compresser that looks like a prybar with a hole at the end of its a 2 man job but works because of the springs being so low in Dohc the other does not work unless you find the one with the slide down handle like at napa

I got mine from Snap-on. Cost was about $125, it is universal for OHC engines. Make sure not to get one for OHV engines. The type I use allows for valve spring removal/installation while the head is still in the car and can be operated by just one person if you get used to it.

Default SOHC?

Does anyone know if the loaner from Autozone will work with a SOHC engine?

If it doesnt work take it back.
Check this one out too http://www.thetoolwarehouse.net/shop/SP-91400.html

Btw, your going to need a air compressor & a way to charge your cylinder to keep the valves from dropping....
