Default forced induction questions

ok... so i'm keeping my hatch... trying to figure out ways to make it less slow.

here's what i've got so far:

keep the b16, ditch the cams, get a jrsc, kamikaze header, new exhaust w/ test pipe, aaaand now for the reason for this thread:

if i put forged pistons (probably endyn) and rods (eagle seems like a winner) in that bad boy with a 10.5:1 cr or something, what would be a good sized shot of NAAAWWWZZZZZZZ that i could safely run with hondata and WITHOUT sleeving the block? and a better question... how does spraying effect the supercharger (or does it at all?)

why not just turbo it and eliminate the nitrous?

If you're building it anyway why not throw some 9 or 9.5 pistons in it and run a FUCKLOAD of boost?

Oh, i guess it may be because you're still trying to keep the stock sleeve. . . WHY?

can't really answer your question, but many stock sleeves survive 300whp, and still quite a few upwards of 350whp. It really depends on the tuning.

if you run 10lbs of boost, a 20-30 shot will be more than enough

and adding nitrous will not harm the blower. the blower likes it.

mostly because i don't have enough money to get it sleeved... or to add nitrous or forged internals at the moment... just in the planning stages... trying to figure out what my options are

i'd rather not turbo a honda... seems unnatural. too many systems that have to be added, vacuum hoses, wastegates, etc. and if one of them fails, kaboom goes the engine... whereas with a blower boost is physically limited. plus i don't like having engine destroying power only a turn of a knob away.

that and i like having a useable torque curve, lord knows hondas have very little as it is, can't waste time waiting for boost to build
