ok so yeah i know this dude that works at a honda dealership, and he has been looking out for me for a car (which i appreciate) and he hasnt got to many good trade ins lately but he had got a 1992 accord coupe auto with 166,000 miles on it, basically it went through and checked out good with whatever they do to check out the cars. Runs great, interior in good conditions needs some exterior cosmetics, A/C, was supposedly female granny driven i believe he said, but the thing is it will cost me 2500. sound like a good deal?..he could get 3000 easily, checked it out on kbb.com and it says without any options what so ever the price was 4300... i know he wont screw me over or anyting but the miles scare me.

I think its interesting that every time someone goes to buy a car the salesman says that the car was driven by an older female. I think that may be a sales pitch Because I know I've heard that everytime I've bought a car, except for once - and the salesman told me that a calm gay couple owned it. You gotta love stereotypes.

 

yeah i heard that when i went to go look and some other cars but they where crap crap and yeah crap..looked like they where ragged to shit

but this guy is like family, had it go through inspection thingys with the dealership i pretty sure, ill have to ask again..does it sound like a good price? the only thing that scares me is the miles, the car i could care less about.

 

miles are not a problem...i had a 1991 CRX Si with 162,000 then i totoaled it and it ran fine. the only problem with it was the valve seal was broken and it needed replacing...no biggy though...i just didnt get around to it before i wrecked it going 100.

 

i know there are some honda guys/gals that have older civics and such?..whats your milage?

need to simmer down on the high speeds lol.

 

i personally would not buy the car because they are so much better ones for less than that...u would just have to look around harder

 

For $2500, Get a 91 CRX. Then have another $1000 for performance....

 

I wouldnt do it. its just to many miles. Like 40 oz said get a crx and build it!!!!!!!

 

A/C work is expensive and summer is just around the corner. There are much better deals out there. I'm sure you keep checking the auto trader right?

 

thnx, but i dont like to deal with private sellers, most rip your face off anyways, the car could be this and that and could be total crap and some could be the best deal ever, and i wont even go to one of those corner dealership thingys, you just dont know, yeah i thought about it today, cause i need a new car to just get me around in, been without one forever now..but yeah ill pass on it, and keep looking. hopefully a integra or something comes in on trade-in within the next week at Honda. i just need one that will outlast me. hah

im very picky on things, especially ones that i will be putting my time, effort and money into.
