Just bought a 92 cx about 2 weeks ago and agot some rust on the 2 rear quarter panels, just wondered if anyone knew how to treat rust? just gete a pain job? Lemme know asap anything is appreciated. thanks

the easier thing, get some body filler/ sand paper / and primer and colored paint.

they sell a kit at walmart for rather cheap, sand it with like 100 grit paper, put the filler in, make it flush and look normal with the rest of the body, then sand it with lik 1000 or 2000 grit paper, primer it, then paint it,



unless you think the junk yard will be easier.

i just did the whole rear of my hatch with Anodized blue, and im doing the whole car like that soon, it turns out pretty good.

 

its just so cold to be outside trying to be doing sumthing like that, thats the only prob I jsut dont want that shit too spread.

 

The only RIGHT WAY of doing this is to cut the rust out and replace with new rear quarters this is the only way to guarantee its not going to spread

im so confused on how to do that cuz its in the weirdest spont in the rear and how it spreaded it seems hard to sand it
