Default Oil chaning...

Ive been having to change my oil like every three weeks it seems like, I dont even drive that much. I go to change the oil and I even added some oil cleaner in the engine then drain the oil and fill it up with clean mobil one oil. Its not like iam using cheap oil just wondering if this means anything? It turns black like after a few weeks.

Does this mean like anything internally in the enigne is going bad?

it's normal for engine oil to turn black, there shouldn't be anything wrong with your engine.

It is normal.....but I do suggest you go ahead begin an analysis of a water leak somewhere.

your oil will usually start to turn black at around 1000-1500miles of normal driving. if u beat the shit out of your car its obviously gonna be quicker. also large amount of blow by can cause this too.

i dont see what a water leak would have to do with anything, internal or external. an increase in coolant temp will increase your oil temp a little but unless youre running your car overheating then it wont have that much of a direct effect on your oil and youd have a lot worse of problems than dark oil.

It is normal after a couple weeks of use. Mine turns blackish after about 1000 miles. If you want to be sure get your oil tested as stated already.

Later...
