Sometimes I should open a shop and could probaly make a living out of it if not, retired sooner.
It will not give you HP, it will free up inertia mass.
Sorta like spinning a 18" Chrome wheel on your car while its on the air.
The 18" will stop sooner, whereas a "13 wheel will keep on turning a little longer.
lol

you guys that like to read the answers to ?'s like this need to pay close attention.
Now before I start let me say that yes the ? is lacking a ton of info that is so full of variables that it is impossible to say the exact hp number, but he is looking for some insight from those of us with more experience. I am not an expert and yes I have asked dumb ?'s of my own but still help a guy out or put him on the right path otherwise shut the fuck up and don't point fingers and laugh like your still in grade school.
to answer your ? though, with all things equal and all variables at an average your engine B1
is rated at 180hp ( if memory serves) from the factory. based on that you will be at about 277hp.
when the rest of you stop laughing grab a back issue of HCI magazine from May of 2003, in which is a formula for figuring the potential hp of an engine under a given boost pressure, the formula of coarse can not allow for altitude, ambient air temp, pressure drop through an intercooler, and the other variables, however more of the variables you can eliminate the closer to the theory you will be.
the formula is (boost in psi/14.7(atmosphere)) + 1(atmosphere of a normally aspirated engine) x normally aspirated hp.
example a b16 @ 7psi is 7/14.7= .47 +1= 1.47 x160= 236.19...
reasonably on the above example I would expect to see 210whp allowing for variables and drivetrain loss, the same numbers on a rwd vehicle I would expect less than 210whp because of the rwd drivetrain. If you can figure out the equation you can work the problem backwards and get the boost level needed to attain the hp you want on a known hp for the na engine.

IMO 8 psi on internals your whp will be less then 190 whp.
