mini me timing belt question
ok i just put my timing belt on my mini me which i got a timing belt for a d16y8 head which i have and when i put it on and tighten it up it moves over from the tdc possition and when i tighten the tensioner it is very loose still how loose is it suppose to be i mean i could prolly take the belt off with the tensioner tighened all the way any help would be appreciated
every time I did a mini me swap I used the 1.5 timing belt(shorter)
the y8 is longer & will never tighten up on a 1.5 block.....my advice would be to get a 1.5 t-belt........

i thought you had to get the timing belt of the head you got like a y8 head y8 timing belt i dont know this is what i have been told and it would suck to be wrong and have to buy a new one will it work with the y8 timing belt or am i screwed and have to buy an d15 timing belt
1.5L block with vtec head use 92-95civic VX t-belt
1.6L block with vtec head use 92-95EX(Z6) or 96-00 (Y8) belt
the Z6 AND the Y8 belts are exactly the same size...but Y8 is slightly less $$
