Got new plugs, still runs poor
Hey i have a 96 civic ex with a 98 b18c1. it recently started to run and idle bad, so i just replaced my spark plugs. three were completely rusted and corroded like crazy, while the one on the farthest left was looking pretty nice. The car still runs exactly the same. Crappy idle, that is so low it almost stalls. And when i floor it and hit vtec at about 5500 it feels like i was playing with the accelerator. pulls then slows and pulls and slows. But the pedal is to the floor? i dont know what to do. Ive been working on this for like a month. Also a shop recently told me i had water in my gas tank. I used water remover in the tank. But could this have messed my motor up? Please help. please.
Heres what my plugs look like. What do u think is wrong with my car. Read above for full details.

You can get water in you cyl through the tank My EX did that blew my plugs car wouldnt start ! If its surging check Ignition system and Fuel Delivery.
and also check your oil level.
Pour a Bottle or Ethal Alchohol in your tank (RUbbing Alchy) thats the best method of removing water ! I had a gas can at home i had gas in for when i changed my engine benounced to me My lil nephew dumped it out and filled it with water ! The car had .5 tank water .5tank of fuel. I poured 3 bottles of alchy and changed the plugs 5 times. I finally took the Fule feed line off the filter and hooked a jumped up the the pump circuit and let it pump everything out on the ground and refilled it.
Oh and ditch the autolite plugs thats a big no no. Get NGK OEM is NGK for a reason ! Check Cap rotor wires etc. ! change fuel filter and check air filter etc etc. If all else fail get a flashlight and look at your pistoin through the plug holes if they are shinny and not black your dumping water in their, water is the best way to clean a cyl, we use dto mist water into TB to clean cylinders !

oh if your Head gasket is blown youd have a few more issueslike overheating, loos of compression etc. ROugh idle loss of power. Check that by changing your oil is it milky ? sludgy white looking if so you have a water leaking in fromsomewhere 90% head gasket !
oh also for the pluigs dont mind the rusty part thats not in the cylinder thats external of the engine water can leak down into the plug wells due to bad seals on the plug wires ! as long as the elctrodes are nice and clean which they are your good to go ! If its white shinny or missing you have issues ! Lookslike its running pretty clean to me !
by the way the plugs look,i would replace the plug wires.if someone put those plugs in,then they prob put cheapo wires on too.get new plugs(ngk),and go to acura to get factory plug wires.
i put cheap wires on my car once, everytime i washed my engine bay water would leak through the top seal of the wires.it made the car run like shit, and did the same think to my plugs.
good luck
let me know if you try this.

Get rid of those wires, change your cap and rotor. Do the basics first. If that does not fix it, go through checking things in the fuel system.
