what makes the twin cam vtec motors vtec so loud when it hits. and why doesnt the single cam sound the same when it hits vtec. would vtec be louder if you got a bigger cam for the single cam

 

the dual cam actually has vtec lobes for both intake and exhaust so when it "hits" the exhaust opens up more thus making it louder.... the more it opens, the louder it is (bigger cams)... single cams on the other hand only have a vtec lobe for intake... exhaust stays constant all the time, thats why youy dont hear the pop....... hope that helps some
