Default 250 lb/ft torque..easily obtainable?

torque...is something all H badged cars lack from the get go

the only way to produce torque in our cars is boost. so here is my question

i want ATLEAST 250 lb/ft. of torque, on 93 octane

what i have now:

sfp cereramic coated manifold,

tial 40mm wastegate

precision sc 44...

hopefully hondata or uberdata(props to vertigo)

intecooler and boost controller have not been bought/chosen yet

here are the basic specs on the engine

basic pr3 head with slight bowl and port work from rlz engineering

stock b17a cams,,, 264 intake/274 exhaust i believe

new oem valves, itr springs , skunk retainers

and now here is the problem

block choice.

the car has an original b17a..but ive been think about using a diffrent bottom end, b18c or b18b

you think 250 lb/ft. torque is possible with the 1.7 in street use?
(pump gas, low psi)

or should i go with one of the 1.8's?

please, dont start an ls/vtec debate over this

I have a completely stock LS on 93 octane w/ 270 ft/lb's on low boost. I'll keep you posted on high boost tq #'s, after next weekend. With lower compression engines, running a high level of boost, will net you high tq #'s. For 250lb/ft you do not need to sleeve or bore over a B series to a 2.0L, that is unnecessary. Of course displacement is the obvious answer for increased output, or torque, but for what you are looking for you can achieve that with far less.

T3 T04E 56 trim with .63a/r

The boost level is irrelevant, I tuned by tq. What I have now will be low boost, and I have yet to tune for higher boost. Both will be on 93 octane.

Sam, you got a nice project going. Is this going in the 2nd gen Integra?

It'd be easier to get that amount of torque from a 1.8 ls block than the 1.7. Make sure to get forged pistons.

Most tune by A/F, EGT, and / or timing. However... I didn't even ask how you tuned man. Simply what turbo, and how much boost.
Boost is irrelevant in determining anything about my specific setup. Depending how aggressive the tune, boost and corresponding power would vary extremely.

But if it truly helps. . . 14 psi

and you have to "tune" by boost. (specifically map pressure & rpm)
and yes obviously A/F would be how to tune fuel, and one of the ways to see the direct effects of timing in boost would be egt
