Ok i have a friend who has a 90 hatchback. Well the question is has anyone had a issues with the walboro gss 341 with the adapter kit? He installed it correctly to my knowledge but he seems to have to fill up his tank when the reading is at half tank. He has actually ran out of gas while it was reading little below half tank. He has already checked the possiblity of a faulty gauge reading and the fact that the sump bag needs to be positioned lower. Still after addressing those possible factors its still doing the same thing. Just curious if anyone else has had this problem before I think about putting the same pump in.

Question geared to 88-91 owners with modified setups- What fuel pumps are you guys utilizing? I plan on going sohc vtec turbo. 450cc injectors, 15psi. I dont feel like getting into the detail of the setup cause thats another topic. I hope to make about 280-300whp considering my setup.
Providing the possible problems of this gss341 should I go with the stock intank with an inline pump?

 

I gotcha on this one. the fuel pump is smaller therefore it sits higher in the cradle and the hose that runs down into the gas tank therefore is higher up, meaning yea it looks like you have gas, you do have gas, but the hose doesn't reach that gas.

this happened when i got my 89 rex back w/a nicely upgraded highly hearable fuel pump. i was on an 1/8th and sputter sputter sputter stop.

you have to extend the tube or keep it on full

do you know anyone who has extended the sump bag? just curious what one would use to extend it.

 

i here yah jeff but depending on if i sell all my cars then it would be a pain in the ass to fill up everytime its at half tank. thats like refilling every other day. only 7-8 bucks but every other day just cause a damn fuel pump? grrr. if you know of any trick to avoid that situation then let me know.
