ok my friend has 97 dodge neon, i know this is the honda forum but u guys are the best anyway. his car wont start the ecu threw a code that said to check the map sensor. When i check the map sensor it was covereed with oil, the spark plugs where covered with oil too. Im thinkin the head gasket is gone, i need help with this anyone have any suggestions

 

do a compresstion test ,I dont think the motor is shot,
I could figure the pooblem if I look at it,also check the cap & rotor
and try to clean off all the oil on the map&plugs,timing belt snapt?

Neons have leaky heads ! Their head gaskets are junk, prolly one of the worst leaking heads every made besides the 2.3L HO Olds Quad. Do a leakdown test and a compression test, leakdown will give you better results but from what your saying i say head gasket its common on neons.
