So I'm throwing different options for going for more power out of the Teg's motor. A new one that I have begun to consider is the 2.1L stroker kit from Crower. Anyone have experiences with these?
Boost is definately the way to go if you want to make some serious power.... Well, in my opinion at least.....

Well, I've already got the high CR pistons and I was trying to figure the options for getting more power for the least money
and had read something about the stroker kits. I was working on getting a turbo, until I figured in the cost of the new pistons and the new rods that I think that I might have to get.

stroker kits are not shit. rod to stroke is way over stated. w/ a stroker kit you get a set of forged rods and pistons (nice for turbo) i beleve eagle offers them for around 1500-1800 . if he sleeves which will cost 900.00 (and may sink) plus and he will still need pistons and using stock rods. im not saying id buy a stroker kit but it has its good points. has anyone on this board owned a aftermarket stroker kit ? i dont like passing judgement on things because my best friends brother said they were no good.

Alot of stroker kits place the ring package higher up on the piston so a somewhat longer rod can be used and the rod stroke ratio won't go to complete shit. The problem then becomes a very weak ring package for a turbo motor. There are ways to arrange the ring package to still have a nice fat land between the compression rings but your oil rings are going to be "in the hole" which will lead to oil control problems. Rod stroke definitely isn't everything but I wouldn't want it to run below 1.5:1 on any motor of mine.
