Default How to view code for check engine light. 96 accord

I looked all over the car and found now port to plug an OBDII scanner into to check my Check engine light?
It has to have one its an OBDII...
where is it???

If not isnt there a plug next to the ECU on the passenger side kick panel i can check..

I was under the impression to that there would be a plug down there with a 2 pin connecter and to loop that connector with a paper clip, and then put the key in the ignition and watch for the code to flash on the check engine...

By the way im trying to read a code that i believe is for my transmission.
anyone one got an instructions link?

You are correct, here is a decent instruction page. I know it for an Acura CL, but the Accord and CL are 90% the same.

I got it... Its a tranny code... the Overdrive 4 display on the gauge cluster indicates its a tranny code 15...

The Check engine light blinks consitant 7's but i dont think it means anything??? just to indicate its displaying a code for the tranny...

Now i gots to go find a site or get the book to see what code that is.

Go here... http://web.tampabay.rr.com/aaron1 there is a foler with your name on it!

I have the Mitchell On-Demand System for computers if you want it. I only have the CD that contains the Honda/Acura files. Just give me a blank CD and I will burn it!
