Hello I own an 89 crx si and my tachometer is reading about 2000 rpms faster than it should be reading. I checked the wiring on the distributor, that looks ok, could it be the tach itself? calibrated out of wack?? any help would be appreciated. thanks -Danny

 

when the car is off what rpm does the tach say? 0 right?
it may need to be calibrated,maybe some one was messing w/ it before? easy fix is to remove the needle & remount to the correct location.....unless the engine really is idling at 2000.......

 

nevermind guys, it mysteriously fixed itself!!! I turned it on again later and it idles and moves properly to redline. so whatever thanks anyways crix.
