I have 1st and 2nd gear but 3rd and 4th do not work...

I'd put it in overdrive 3rd and it wont shift up and like wise with 4th. All other gears, 1st, 2nd, and reverse work.
Transmission fluid is kinda old but its full.
I got a check engine light when 3rd and 4th crapped out.
Do u know if autozone or discount still scan engine codes?

Any ideas as to what the problem is.../???

 

it's toast. time for a $1,500 rebuild.

 

fuck that.. im not paying 1500 for a rebuild... im sure i can get a cheaper one than that..
To bad my spare a T56 6 speed cant fit in there.


Question... what year of accord transmissions will work with a 1996 EX accord.. 1995-1997?
