my diagram i have only has an orange wire from the vss...the top of mine has three-- an orange, blk/yel, and a black wire...what do i do with these????????????????

 

According to 96-00 Civic Helms, the colors I have are different:
Here is what I have listed

BLK/YEL is power,
BLK is for continuity (ground)
BLU/WHT is for SIGNAL (of speed)

So the only difference is the color orange, and I'll bet that is for signal. You will need an ohmeter to confirm. The Helms also calls for a test harness, pt # 07LAJ-PT3020A
