Default battery light comes on

it comes on then it shuts off. it doesnt stay on all the time, and when i get on it, it doesnt turn on(battery light) usually. any body have any idea what is causing the light to come on. i checked the alternator by removing the positive battery cable when the car is on.

thanx josh

bad motor ground, or no ground at all, make sure the ground that goes to your valve cover is on all the way

keep it simple

1. check the all 3 grounds
2. clean your battery posts
3. if the belt to your altenator turns more than 180 degrees its lose it has an adjustment bracket on it so you can easily adjust it
4. go to any auto parts store and have them check your battery and alternator
